Cheery yellow flowers with chocolate-brown centers wave and dance on late summer breezes. This eastern US native has an open, airy habit that blends beautifully with grasses or shines at the back of a border, along a fence, backed by a building, or even against the high open sky. The flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators. The seeds provide food for songbirds.
