Acanthus ‘Summer Beauty’
Large (sometimes up to 3’!) dark green, shiny leaves that last well beyond frost. These leaves are the same as those depicted on ancient Greek and Roman columns. In summer, tall flowering stalks appear (up to 5’!) with white flowers and purple bracts lasting several months. Best with bright light/full sun with some shade during the hottest part of the day. Can be grown in shade but will reduce flowering.
Height and spread 3-5’. Deer resistant. Zones 6-8.
